Westermill Farm / Gorse Cottage

Gorse cottage can sleep up to 8 people and is a single storey. It is our oldest original log cabin sourced from Finland and built by the Edwards family. It has the real log cabin appeal.The cottage features a large grassy area in front.

Gorse has a large verandah leading to the entrance door. Inside there is a spacious living and dining area with an attractive high pine ceiling. There is a large pine table with a settle and bench, 2 sofas and 2 arm chairs with coffee tables a tv and video recorder.

Also in the living area is an efficient wood burning stove plus 2 wall heaters. Each bedroom also has their own electric heaters. There is a well equipped alcove kitchen with an electric oven, microwave, toaster and hand built pine fitted units.

One bed room leads from the kitchen area with twin 2ft 6" beds, a bedside cupboard, narrow wardrobe and a dressing table top. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds with draws, a small table top and hooks on the wall. The other 2 bedrooms are either side of the bathroom. One has twin 3ft beds, a bed side table, dressing table top with wardrobe and shelves The other bedroom has 2 2ft 6" beds with a fold down desk plus a wardrobe with shelving. The bathroom is small and compact with a cubicle shower, wash basin, loo and a dimplex wall heater.

This cottage is popular with large groups or family wanting to spend time with each other in the large centre living space of the cottage.
